Meat is the centre of Armenia food, with aubergines, rice, yoghurt, vegetables and herbs prominent. Khorovats, barbecued chunks of beef, chicken, fish, lamb or pork with aubergines, peppers and tomatoes, served with lavish, a thin flatbread, is a very popular dish. These five come in close behind.
